Fernando Zamora's life trajectory began in Boston, USA, but his formative years were spent in Mexico City, where he was raised. This early exposure to the vibrant culture of Mexico would later influence his work as an Anthropologist and Art Historian.
At the tender age of 15, Zamora made the bold decision to relocate to New York, where he pursued his passion for film writing at the prestigious Columbia University. This educational experience would provide him with a solid foundation in the art of storytelling, laying the groundwork for his future literary endeavors.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Zamora has also made a name for himself as a novelist. Two of his notable works, published under the esteemed Random-House Mondadori imprint, are "Triangulo de amor y Muerte" and "Por debajo del agua". The latter, which was initially conceived as a script, earned Zamora widespread recognition when it was honored at the 1999 Writers Sundance Film Festival in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Furthermore, "Por debajo del agua" was also a finalist at the esteemed Nike Award in the Latino Film Festival in New York, 2001, a testament to the high esteem in which Zamora's work is held within the literary and cinematic communities.
