Pamela Sue Fullerton, the only child of Pamela and Bernard Fullerton, was born on October 10, 1956, in Kaduna, Nigeria. As a young girl, she had a passion for ballet and, at the tender age of 11, enrolled at the prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School in Surrey.
It was during her time at the ballet school that she was spotted and signed to appear in the 1969 film "Run Wild, Run Free." This early success was followed by roles in "Nicholas and Alexandra" in 1971 and the title role in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" in 1972, which marked a significant milestone in her career.
In 1975, she became one of the original leads in the BBC television hospital drama series "Angels." The following year, she married actor Simon MacCorkindale, with whom she would later divorce in 1981. After a brief hiatus from the spotlight, Fullerton made a comeback in 1985 when she played the role of Pola Ivanova in the James Bond film "A View to a Kill."
Her subsequent career saw her appear in various television productions, including the miniseries "The Charmer," alongside Nigel Harvers. It was during this time that she reconnected with an old family friend, Neil Shakell, and the two fell in love. They married in 1994, and Fullerton became a stepmother to Shakell's son, James, and later gave birth to her own daughter, Lucy.
Tragedy struck in 1996 when Fullerton answered a knock on her door to find a gunman waiting for her. Miraculously, the gunman spared her life when he discovered that she was holding her baby in her arms. This harrowing experience led Fullerton to reevaluate her career and eventually step away from the limelight.
Instead, she turned her attention to property development and interior design, establishing a successful company that manages property and provides interior design consulting services. Her expertise in these areas also led her to write a property-advice column for two national newspapers for a decade, which inspired her to pen three property-focused books.
In addition to her work in film and television, Fullerton has also had a successful stage career, playing iconic roles such as Guinevere in Camelot opposite Richard Harris and Eliza Dolittle in Pygmalion.
