Born on the picturesque island of Jamaica, this accomplished individual began her journey in the world of dance at the tender age of four, having been classically trained in the art form. Her impressive talent and dedication earned her several prestigious scholarships to renowned dance schools, where she had the privilege of training extensively under the guidance of the legendary Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Tragedy struck at the age of 17, however, when a severe injury to the lower portion of her spine while rehearsing for the ballet "Giselle" at The Miami Conservatory brought an abrupt end to her illustrious career as a prima ballerina. Despite this setback, she refused to let her passion for the performing arts fade, and instead redirected her energy towards a successful career in television, film, and theatre.
As the Vice President of Business Development at Nite Owl Productions, Ltd., she has earned an Emmy nomination for her work in the industry. Her extensive list of credits includes starring roles in numerous television shows, films, and stage productions. Furthermore, she recently created and developed a syndicated talk show, "Tea With Fi", for the Romance Classics cable network (WE Network),serving as both the executive producer and host of the program.
Currently, she plays the principal role of Gabrielle Medina on the ABC Daytime Drama "One Life to Live".
