Flor De Liz Perez is a multifaceted artist residing in New York City, with roots in the Dominican Republic. Born to a family that encouraged her to pursue the arts from a young age, Flor De Liz's childhood was split between New York and Pennsylvania, where she was raised alongside her younger brother by her parents.
Her early introduction to the stage began with a memorable role as a penguin in an elementary school show, which sparked a lifelong passion for performance. This early start laid the foundation for her future endeavors, as she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Bucknell University.
During her time at Bucknell, Flor De Liz had the opportunity to study abroad in London, where she trained at the prestigious London Dramatic Academy under the guidance of renowned instructor Sir Richard Digby Day. This experience further honed her craft, preparing her for the next chapter of her academic journey.
Flor De Liz then pursued her Master of Fine Arts in Acting at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Professional Actor Training Program, where she received additional training at the Guthrie Theatre under the direction of Ken Washington.
As a student at UNC-Chapel Hill, Flor De Liz had the privilege of performing in various productions with the esteemed PlayMakers Repertory Company, including "Romeo and Juliet," "The Little Prince," and "In the Continuum." Following her graduation, she settled in New York City, where she has since worked on a range of projects.
Her television credits include appearances on "The Good Wife" and "Made in Jersey," while her film credits include the upcoming indie production "The House That Jack Built." In addition to her work in television and film, Flor De Liz continues to perform on stage, having worked at the Two River Theater in New Jersey and with various theatre companies in New York City.
As a writer and performer, Flor De Liz is a member of the New York Neo-Futurists, where she has been featured in their long-running show "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind."
