Frank Lisi was born in the bustling metropolis of New York City in the year 1962. It was in 2004 that his passion for acting and filmmaking began to take shape. He then went on to study acting in the vibrant city that never sleeps, New York City, and made his directorial debut with the award-winning short film "A Sicilian Tale" at The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in the spring of 2009.
"A Sicilian Tale" was a critical and commercial success, and it was awarded "Best Crime Drama Short" at the prestigious festival. This achievement marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career for Frank Lisi. His subsequent film, "The Red Corvette", premiered in November of 2011 in New York City at The New York International Film Festival.
"The Red Corvette" was a major hit, and it was awarded the "Audience Award" at the festival. Lead actress Valerie Bauer was also awarded "Best Actress" in a Feature Film (USA) for her outstanding performance. Frank Lisi wrote, directed, and produced "The Red Corvette", showcasing his versatility and talent as a filmmaker.
Frank's third film, "Veneration", stars Emmy Award-winning actor Charles S. Dutton and actor/playwright Mark Borkowski, and was released in 2016. His next film, "Offstage Elements", written by Maria Viola Jefferson and produced by MVJ Productions, was directed by Frank Lisi and released in 2019.
"Offstage Elements" was a critical and commercial success, and it was the winner of The Platinum Remi Award at Worldfest Houston in 2019. The film stars Michael McFadden, Peter Patrikios, Drew Maniscalco, Tony Darrow, and Mike Starr, and showcases Frank Lisi's ability to bring together talented actors and create compelling stories.
