A multifaceted individual, Fred Baillif, a cinematic visionary in his own right, has an intriguing background, marked by his self-taught nature, as he has not received formal training in film-making, yet has managed to develop a unique perspective and style. Born in Switzerland, this creative force was drawn to the Institute of Social Studies in Geneva, where he delved into the world of academia, earning his degree in the year 2000.
Starting out in the world of documentary filmmaking, he embarked on his professional journey in the year 2002, laying the foundation for a career that would span over a decade. Yet, in 2015, he made the bold decision to transition into the realm of fiction directing, marking a significant milestone with the release of his debut feature film, "Tapis Rouge" or "Red Carpet" as it is commonly referred to. This pivotal moment in his career served as a catalyst for his creative growth, as he continued to hone his craft and expand his repertoire. In recent years, he has been diligently working on another fiction film, "La Preuve Scientifique de l'Existence de Dieu" or "The Scientific Proof of God's Existence", which is currently in the post-production phase.
