Biography

Frederick Chapin, a multifaceted individual with a dual career trajectory, made significant contributions to the world of music and theater. In the early 20th century, he composed the score for L. Frank Baum's 1905 stage musical "The Woggle-Bug", showcasing his talent for creating memorable soundtracks.

In addition to his work on "The Woggle-Bug", Chapin penned the music for several other productions during this period, including "The Storks" (1902),"Pussy in a Corner" (1904),"The Forbidden Land" (1904),"The American Girl" (1906),and "The Maid and the Millionaire" (1907).

Notably, Chapin's role expanded beyond music to include book and lyrics for his 1907 musical "The Maid and the Millionaire". This marked a significant shift in his career, as he would later transition to screenwriting in Hollywood. However, Chapin's love for music endured, and he returned to composing in 1938 with the nudist romance "Unashamed: A Romance".

Furthermore, Chapin's career took an unexpected turn in 1938, when he began working as a stand-in under the pseudonym Fred Fuller, as reported in the New York Post on February 8th of that year.
