Seiya Yamada, better known by his pen name Futaro Yamada, was a renowned Japanese author, born on January 4, 1922, in the charming town of Yabu, located in the Hyogo prefecture. With a remarkable career spanning multiple decades, Yamada's literary journey began to take shape in 1947, when he penned the thought-provoking mystery novel "Daruma-tōge no Jiken," or "The Incident on Dharma Pass," which earned him a prestigious prize from the esteemed novel magazine Houseki.
This breakthrough success caught the attention of the celebrated Japanese author Edogawa Rampo, who subsequently mentored Yamada and helped him establish himself as a prominent novelist.
