Gabriel Lemay, a multifaceted creative force, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as a filmmaker, actor, and musician, all while calling Montreal, Canada his home.
Following his graduation from Concordia University, where he had already gained valuable professional experience, Lemay redirected his focus towards filmmaking, with music remaining a constant source of inspiration and creative outlet.
As his career progressed, he began to receive acting offers for various independent fiction productions, further diversifying his skill set and artistic pursuits.
In 2016, his writing and producing project, "What Remain," directed by Jérémy Comte, premiered at the 66th Berlin Film Festival, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Two years later, Lemay made his directorial debut with the short film "Three Days Till Marrakesh" (2018),showcasing his storytelling abilities and visual style.
His feature-length debut, "Rosa" (2020),starring Benoît Brière and Théodore Pellerin, was a collaborative effort with long-time partner Jean-Michel Gervais, and received widespread acclaim on the festival circuit.
The film's impressive run included screenings at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as premieres in Canada at Regard and Off-Courts Trouville, where it won several prestigious awards, solidifying Lemay's reputation as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
