Korean-Canadian professional wrestler, Gail Kim, made a name for herself in the world of sports entertainment, competing for prominent organizations such as WWE and TNA.
Born with a natural athletic ability, Gail Kim participated in a wide range of sports during her secondary school years at York Memorial Collegiate Institute, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and badminton.
Following her high school education, Gail Kim attended the University of Toronto, initially majoring in kinesiology, the science of human movement. However, she later transferred to Ryerson University, where she switched her major to nutrition.
Gail Kim's professional wrestling career began in December 2000, when she debuted under a mask as La Felina, competing for various promotions such as the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation, Northern Championship Wrestling, the Insane Wrestling Federation, Border City Wrestling, and Wild Samoan Afa's WXW.
Later, Gail Kim adopted her real name and signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2002. She wrestled a series of bra and panties matches with Dawn Marie on the SmackDown! house show circuit before making her television debut in a battle royal for the WWE Women's Title on WWE RAW, June 30, 2003.
Gail Kim's WWE career saw her turn heel and join forces with Molly Holly in a feud against Trish Stratus. She made her pay-per-view debut at WWE Unforgiven 2003, teaming with Molly Holly in a loss to Lita and Trish Stratus.
In 2006, Gail Kim jumped to TNA, making her debut in a loss to Traci Brooks at TNA Hardcore War, June 9, 2006. Over the course of her TNA career, she has held the TNA Knockouts Title six times, a feat matched only by Angelina Love, and the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Title once with Madison Rayne.
Throughout her illustrious career, Gail Kim has competed for numerous other promotions, including Toryumon Mexico, Absolute Intense Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, British Championship Wrestling, Imperial Wrestling Revolution, and Association Biterroise de Catch, among others.
