In response to this requirement, his parents took the initiative to enroll him in a diverse array of classes and workshops, encompassing sports, music, visual art, theatrical performances, and dance. Among these various creative pursuits, Gandharv developed a profound and lasting affinity for the world of theatre, an interest that would ultimately evolve into his lifelong passion and driving force.
Gandharv's introduction to the world of theatre was a pivotal moment in his formative years, which was largely facilitated by his association with the National School of Drama's Theatre-in-Education Company. This experience, coupled with his involvement with IMAGO, a theatre group led by the illustrious Barry John, had a profound impact on his artistic development.
Throughout his time at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Gandharv's passion for theatre continued to flourish, with his extensive experiences in this field playing a crucial role in securing his admission to the Drama quota at Delhi University.
Gandharv's academic journey commenced at the esteemed Kirori Mal College, where he delved into the realm of English literature, cultivating a deep understanding of the subject matter. Concurrently, he became an integral component of the college's theatre society, The Players, renowned for its unwavering dedication, meticulous precision, and exacting rigor.
Under the astute guidance of mentor Keval Arora, Gandharv had the opportunity to hone his skills in both the creation and comprehension of theatre, an experience that would prove invaluable in his future endeavors. As he delved deeper into the world of theatre, Gandharv's passion and aptitude for acting began to flourish, ultimately leading him to make the bold decision to pursue a career in this field.
Gandharv's extensive theatre background encompasses a multitude of acting credits, showcasing his versatility and range as a performer. Additionally, he has also demonstrated his skills as a director, having helmed a few productions during his college days. Furthermore, Gandharv has collaborated with The Tadpole Repertory, a renowned theatre company, where he brought Adil to life in the highly acclaimed production, Still and Still Moving, written and directed by the talented Neel Chaudhari. This outstanding production premiered at the prestigious Prithvi theatre in Mumbai in 2012, a testament to Gandharv's ability to excel in various aspects of the performing arts.
Gandharv, a talented individual, concluded his formal training at the prestigious National School of Drama in 2015, focusing on the art of acting as his primary area of expertise.
During his time at the National School of Drama, Gandharv had the opportunity to hone his craft by starring in a production of Othello, skillfully directed by the renowned Mohan Maharishi. His captivating portrayal of Iago in this production garnered widespread acclaim, with many still remembering his outstanding performance to this day.
Following the completion of his training, Gandharv made the decision to relocate to Mumbai in 2016, where he has since continued to make a name for himself in the world of theatre. He has had the privilege of collaborating with a variety of esteemed artists, including the accomplished Manav Kaul, the talented Lilette Dubey, and the skilled Vikram Phukan.
