Welsh-born writer and director, who first made a name for himself in 2003 with the short film "SamuraiMonogatari". This Japanese-language short film, starring students from Tokyo studying at Cardiff University at the time, told the poignant tale of a Samurai waiting to be executed.
In the same year, the writer/director graduated with a Master's degree in Scriptwriting for Film and Television from the University of Glamorgan. However, it wasn't until 2006 that his first major production was released. The self-penned feature film "Footsteps" premiered at the Swansea Bay Film Festival, where it won the prize for "Best Film". Since its release, "Footsteps" has received widespread critical acclaim and is set to be released in the United States through extreme cinema label, Unearthed Films in the summer of 2007.
Currently, the writer/director is working on a documentary project for Christine Hakim Films in Indonesia, titled "The Mystic Arts of Indonesia: Pencak Silat". This documentary is one of a five-part series covering the cultural heritage of Indonesia and is expected to be broadcast once the series is complete in 2008.
After completing the documentary, the writer/director is set to begin work on his second feature film in the summer of 2007.
