John Kronus was a deceased American professional wrestler, best known for his time teaming with Perry Saturn as The Eliminators. Trained by Walter 'Killer' Kowalski, they debuted in 1989 and were originally billed as "The Eliminator." Their team name, "The Eliminators," was inspired by the Greek and Roman gods of the harvest, Kronus and Saturn.
The duo first teamed in the United States Wrestling Association in Memphis, Tennessee, where they held the USWA World Tag Team Championship once, defeating Eddie Gilbert and Brian Christopher on May 2, 1994, and later lost the belts to PG-13.
The Eliminators debuted in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1995, teaming with Jason in a win over Taz and The Steiner Brothers. They went on to hold the ECW World Tag Team Titles three times, defeating Cactus Jack and Mikey Whipwreck in February 1996, and regaining the belts from The Gangstas in February 1997.
However, the team's success was short-lived, as Perry Saturn left ECW in June 1997 to follow Raven into World Championship Wrestling. Kronus continued to defend the belts in handicap matches until he lost them to The Dudley Boys in June 1997.
Kronus and New Jack later defeated The Dudley Boys to regain the belts, but lost them to the FBI in November 1997. From that point, Kronus was pushed down the cards, culminating in a squash match against Sid at ECW Guilty as Charged 1999.
Kronus also wrestled for various other promotions, including Combat Zone Wrestling, Assault Championship Wrestling, Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, Xtreme Pro Wrestling, IWA Japan, NWA 2000, and NWA Championship Wrestling America.
One of the reasons for Saturn's departure from ECW was his frustration with teaming with Kronus, whom he described as a "lazy addict."
Kronus's finishing move outside of The Eliminators was a 450 Splash.
In his personal life, Kronus had a son named Gage, born in 1998.
Sadly, John Kronus passed away on July 18, 2007.
