George, a multilingual actor and filmmaker, resides in Los Angeles, California. Born to a Cuban-American mother and a West Point graduate father, he grew up in the Chicagoland area.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a degree in Religious Studies, George embarked on a backpacking journey in Asia, visiting India and China. His travels in China sparked a passion for languages, a fascination that has endured to this day. It was during this initial stint in China that George discovered his desire to become an actor.
Upon his return to Chicago in 2009, George began studying acting at various training centers, simultaneously securing roles in independent films and plays. Over the next few years, he honed his Mandarin language skills and acting abilities, eventually transitioning to a full-time career in the TV and film industry in China in 2014.
As George established himself as a prominent Mandarin-speaking actor, he landed starring roles in several Chinese productions. His most notable performances include his leading role in Hunan TV's 2016 biopic series, "Red Star over China," about American journalist Edgar Snow, and his starring role in the 2018 sitcom series, "The Jing." Both of these roles showcased George's ability to speak Mandarin fluently without dubbing, a rare occurrence for a non-Asian actor.
Throughout his career, George has made numerous trips between the United States and China, ultimately settling in Los Angeles in 2018. In 2021, he wrote and produced his first short film, "Out on a Limb," a revisionist western.
