George Loomis is a multifaceted American actor and filmmaker with a rich background. Born in Manhattan, he spent his early years in Moscow, Russia, where he was raised. His educational pursuits led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in film from New York University.
Before venturing into filmmaking, George started his acting career as a child actor on the popular ABC television series Loving. His talent and dedication eventually led him to win the Best Film award at the 2019 Santa Fe Film Festival for his debut feature, the dramatic thriller Unthinkable, produced by Unified Pictures.
Unthinkable received its international premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. In addition to his work in film, George has also made a mark on the stage. He starred in the national production of Point Break LIVE! in Hollywood for three consecutive years, while simultaneously appearing in various commercials, including those for Target and United Airlines.
George's extensive acting credits also include roles in films such as Broken Vows and television shows like The Doctors, Kroll Show, and Making a Scene with James Franco. Prior to his writing and directing endeavors, he held positions at MTV News and MTV Networks.
Looking ahead, George has a deal with an international production company for his next feature film. He is also actively developing other projects under his own production banner, Persona Pictures, including adaptations from the works of The New York Times bestselling author, Mark Mathabane, whose memoir Kaffir Boy is a renowned literary masterpiece.
