Born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, George had his formative years in the Washington, DC area, specifically in Laurel, Maryland, where he attended high school. For over two decades, he made a living as a musician, mastering multiple instruments including electric bass, vocals, banjo, drums, and guitar, as well as leading his own band.
George's early musical endeavors began in 1967 with his first band, which often competed against a local band that would later feature Greg Hawkes from The Cars. During his time at Prince George's College in Maryland, he was fortunate to have a music teacher, Jay Chattaway, who would go on to become a renowned film and television composer.
George's military service in the Army from 1969 to 1971 was marked by a tour of duty in Vietnam, where he was wounded and earned numerous decorations. In addition to his combat experience, he learned valuable skills such as driving and operating a tank, which he has found to be surprisingly useful in his daily life.
A late bloomer in his acting career, George describes himself as someone who finally discovered his true calling in life. With the guidance of esteemed acting coaches, including the renowned Milton Katselas, he has appeared in an impressive array of projects, including over 36 films, 14 television shows, 8 plays, and 60+ commercials and print jobs.
Recent television appearances have seen George share the screen with notable actors such as Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis, Christian Slater, Hugh Laurie, Timothy Hutton, and Benjamin Bratt. His credits also include comedic sketches on Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Young and the Restless, starring alongside series lead Peter Bergman.
George's filmography boasts a range of titles, including the comedy Don: Plain & Tall, which won the Best Comedy award at the prestigious Breckenridge Festival of Film, and Ten til Noon, starring alongside Alonso Freeman, which has garnered a staggering nine festival awards, including IndieFest.
Currently residing in Toluca Lake, California, George is a polyglot who speaks a little Russian and still enjoys playing his bass, banjo, and guitar whenever possible.
