Georgina Frances Reilly, a talented British-Canadian actress, was born in Guildford, United Kingdom, to a family of artists, with her father being a songwriter/composer and her mother a business administrator. Her grandfather, Tommy Reilly, was the world's first classical harmonica player, and Georgina grew up surrounded by music and performance. As a child, she began performing in musical theatre productions, which became a natural extension of her upbringing. She was fortunate to meet Philip Bateman, the musical director of Billy Elliot, London production, who became a valuable mentor and supporter of her singing and acting talents.
At the age of 16, Georgina and her family relocated to Toronto, Canada, where she completed her formal education at Havergal College. During her time at the school, she took a break from performing to focus on her studies. However, her talent did not go unnoticed, and she was soon discovered by acclaimed filmmaker Bruce McDonald, who cast her in the critically acclaimed film 'Pontypool', which premiered at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival.
Georgina's breakthrough role came when she was cast as the feisty young coroner Dr. Emily Grace on the acclaimed Victorian series Murdoch Mysteries, and as the cynical Sabrina Reynolds on The CW's The L.A Complex. Her performances earned her widespread recognition in Canada, solidifying her position as a household name.
In her personal life, Georgina married actor and filmmaker Mark O'Brien on January 6, 2013, after meeting him on set. The couple resides in Los Angeles, where Georgina continues to pursue her passion for acting and filmmaking.
