Gerald Flood, a talented individual, was born in the esteemed city of Portsmouth, a place of great naval significance, to a family with a rich history in the Navy. As a young man, Flood served as an wireless operator during World War II, playing a crucial role in the war effort. After the war, he transitioned to a career in administration, working as a filing clerk until he landed a job with the prestigious Farnham Repertory Company.

It was during his time with the company that Flood met his future wife, Anne. Together, they toured the country, performing in various productions, including the iconic plays "Hamlet," "Power and Glory," and "Charley's Aunt." His impressive resume also includes performances in "The Complaisant Lover" at the historic Globe Theatre, as well as roles in "The Formation Dancers," "Children's Day," and "There's A Girl In My Soup."

In the 1960s, Flood's television career took off, with roles in the science fiction series "Pathfinders in Space" (1960),and its sequels "Pathfinders to Mars" (1960-1961) and "Pathfinders to Venus" (1961).
