As a result, he rose to prominence as the most beloved and widely listened to radio host of the 1970s, effortlessly captivating the hearts and minds of his vast audience with his engaging morning news commentary, which aired from 7h to 9h, as well as his enchanting afternoon storytelling program.
Not only did Sire expand his creative horizons by foraying into the realm of filmmaking, but he also demonstrated his versatility by scripting scenarios for a multitude of motion pictures directed by the acclaimed Jean Yanne. One of the most notable and enduring examples of his cinematic endeavors is the irreverent masterpiece "Tout le monde il est beau, tout le monde il est gentil", a satirical tour de force that cleverly lampoons the relentless pursuit of success by a radio station. This film, which cleverly skewers the very notion of a radio station's quest for fame, went on to become a cultural phenomenon in France, with its title becoming a ubiquitous phrase that has since become synonymous with the tongue-in-cheek notion that everyone is beautiful and nice, yet simultaneously poking fun at the very idea itself.
Sire's television career was marked by a plethora of contributions, as he penned numerous TV series, showcasing his versatility as a writer. His presence on the small screen was a common occurrence, with appearances in a variety of television shows. On the big screen, he made a few film appearances, often taking on small roles for the sheer joy of it. It's worth noting that he had a penchant for appearing in movies directed by his close friends, including Jean Yanne and Claude Lelouch. In fact, his voice can be heard in the background throughout Lelouch's 1964 Palme d'Or-winning film "Un homme et une femme", a testament to his willingness to lend his talents to his friends' projects. Furthermore, his first son even had the opportunity to act alongside Jean-Louis Trintignant in the film, playing the role of Antoine, Trintignant's on-screen son.
