Gerardo Quiroz Acosta is a Mexican actor, broadcaster, and theater producer, born to Enrique Quiroz Acosta and Teresita Acosta de Quiroz, with Luis Mario Quiroz as his brother.
With a degree in Communication and Public Relations from the Universidad Latinoamericana in 1991, he graduated with honorable mention for his thesis, "The actor as a social communicator in cinematography".
Since 1978, he has been actively involved in the entertainment industry, participating in over 120 television commercials for major brands and acting in 18 films, including notable productions such as Amigo, directed by Oliver Stone, and One Man's War, alongside Anthony Hopkins.
He is also well-known for his role as "Miguel" in the popular television series Papá soltero, where he shared credits with César Costa, Edith Márquez, and Luis Mario Quiroz.
In 2003, he founded the Centro de Capacitación Artística Pedregal (CECAAP),which he continues to direct, offering the Musical Comedy Actor course, and has trained over 1200 students to date.
From 2003 to 2007, he served as the general director of the Teatro Pedregal in Mexico City, and in 2005, he established the Centro de Capacitación Artística Infantil (CECAI),a training school for children aged 6 to 14 in singing, dancing, and acting.
In 2004, he was appointed general director of the Polyforum Theater in Mexico City, under a 5-year contract.
Throughout his career, he has produced over 65 productions, including recitals and musicals with orchestra, and has received more than 40 awards from national and international critics.
