Gideon's illustrious career in the film, theatre, and philosophy world began with a degree from Tel Aviv University, where he studied film, theatre, and philosophy. This foundational education laid the groundwork for his subsequent ascension through the ranks of production, initially as an Assistant Director. His expertise and dedication soon took him to various parts of the world, including Africa, Eastern Europe, the Far East, Canada, and the United States.
As he continued to hone his craft, Gideon made the transition from production to executive roles, assuming the position of Senior Vice President in charge of production at Hearst Entertainment. He then went on to become the Head of Production for movies and miniseries at Sony Pictures Television.
However, Gideon's entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to leave the studio and return to his roots in production. For several years, he focused on producing television movies, during which time he worked on his first series, ABC Studios' 1-Hour Drama Missing, starring Ashley Judd, which was filmed in Prague.
Since then, Gideon has continued to produce numerous series and pilots, including the ABC series Resurrection and all four seasons of Devious Maids. Additionally, he has collaborated on two pilots: The Frontier, which was shot in Australia for Sony, and Guilt, which was filmed in Budapest for Lionsgate.
