Yet, it was during this period of creative exploration that he stumbled upon an innate aptitude for Graphic Design and Animation, a serendipitous discovery that would ultimately redirect the course of his professional journey.
In the span of two years, a significant career milestone was reached by Gil, who was subsequently offered the esteemed position of Supervising Technical Director at Walt Disney Feature Animation. In this new role, Gil was responsible for overseeing the entire CG production process for a pair of highly acclaimed animated films, namely Tarzan and Treasure Planet.
Gil, a renowned cinematographer, embarked on a remarkable journey in 2001 by joining the esteemed DreamWorks Animation, a pioneer in the realm of animation. Since then, he has made a lasting impact by lending his expertise to a plethora of critically acclaimed animated films, including the likes of Shark Tale, Puss in Boots, and the highly successful How to Train Your Dragon franchise.
Gil's impressive portfolio also boasts his work as a visual consultant on the beloved animated film, Home, and as a previz artist on a diverse range of projects, such as Over the Hedge, Turbo, and Trolls.
