Gina Gomez Dunn, a multifaceted Mexican-American filmmaker hailing from Maryland, embarked on a remarkable journey that would take her from the University of Maryland to the vibrant city of Los Angeles.
With a strong foundation in both Dance and Communications, Gina earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Maryland, setting the stage for her future endeavors. Upon graduation, she made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, driven by a passion for acting.
As she navigated the competitive entertainment industry, Gina appeared in a variety of student films, short films, and webisodes, honing her craft and building her portfolio. It was during this time that she met her future collaborator, Scott Dunn.
Together, Gina and Scott co-wrote, produced, and acted in their debut feature film, "Schlep," which premiered at the prestigious FirstGlance Film Festival in 2017. This groundbreaking achievement earned the film a staggering five nominations across various categories.
In addition to her work on "Schlep," Gina also produced and acted in the critically acclaimed film "Mandao of the Dead," solidifying her position as a force to be reckoned with in the world of filmmaking.
