Born in Queens, Giovanni Bejarano is a first-generation American actor of Colombian and Italian descent, raised in Chicago. This diverse individual is skilled in multiple disciplines, including improv, dance, and martial arts. As a bilingual Spanish and English speaker with working knowledge of Italian, Giovanni received a classical theatre education at Western Illinois University.
Throughout the last decade, Giovanni has honed his acting skills in Los Angeles through consistent work and training with renowned acting teachers and institutions. He has studied scene study with Larry Moss and improv at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. Under the guidance of Lisa Robertson, another protégée of Larry Moss, Giovanni has continued to develop his craft.
Giovanni's commitment to mastering his craft has led him to consistently book work in TV and film, effortlessly transitioning between comedy and drama in various projects. He has appeared in over half a dozen television series, including a series regular role in the independent spec. comedy series, Rick's Parking.
Giovanni's extensive TV resume features dozens of credits across genres. He has also appeared in numerous studio and independent feature films, playing significant roles in diverse pictures such as the Latino family crime drama, Thou Shall Not Kill aka La Guapa, Lionsgate's boxing drama Counterpunch, and the acclaimed Ron Waters biopic, Mr. Sophistication, among many others.
In addition to his acting career, Giovanni is a multi-award winning Salsa Dancer who competes at the professional level. As a true triple-threat, Giovanni has also honed his skills in martial arts, earning a blue belt with two stripes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under the guidance of five-time black belt world champion Romulo Barral.
