Giselle Bonilla is a highly accomplished and esteemed individual in the film industry, having been selected as a 2023 American Film Institute Conservatory Directing Fellow and recipient of the prestigious AUDI Fellowship for Women.
As part of this esteemed fellowship, Giselle was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to pursue her Master of Fine Arts degree at the American Film Institute, a two-year program that has helped her hone her skills as a director.
Giselle's talent and dedication have earned her numerous accolades, including the Student DGA Grand Prize Award for her AFI Thesis Film, "The Bullfighter".
In addition to her impressive academic and professional achievements, Giselle is also an alum of the Sundance Institute, having been selected as a 2020 Ignite x Adobe Fellow.
Prior to her graduate studies, Giselle received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she wrote, directed, and starred in her undergraduate thesis film, "Virgencita".
