Instead, Morris pursued a career in the insurance industry, settling in Los Angeles. However, his life took a dramatic turn when the United States entered World War II, and Morris enlisted in the Navy following the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor.
As a result of his service, Morris was wounded in combat, and he spent a significant amount of time recovering at San Francisco's Navy Hospital. Despite the challenges he faced, Morris's remarkable life story serves as a testament to his resilience and dedication to serving his country.
