Godeliv Van den Brandt is a remarkable individual, boasting a unique blend of cultural and linguistic diversity. As a trilingual and multi-cultured actress, she has had the privilege of being born in Kasongo, Democratic Republic of Congo, to a Congolese mother and a Belgian father.
At the tender age of five, Godeliv and her family made the bold decision to relocate to Spain, where she would later discover her passion for acting. This transformation was sparked by her first acting class with the renowned Susan Batson in New York, which ultimately led her to commit to her craft.
Her professional debut in the film industry came with the critically acclaimed Spanish feature film "Traces of Sandalwood", directed by Maria Ripoll, in 2014. This groundbreaking film went on to win numerous awards, including the prestigious "Best Film" award at the Gaudi Awards in 2015, as well as the "Audience Award" at both the Montreal Film Festival in 2014 and the Cinquest Film Festival in San Jose in 2015.
Godeliv's subsequent work, "Project Lazarus", a film written and directed by Mateo Gil, marked a significant milestone in her career. This cinematic masterpiece, set to be released in 2016, saw her share the screen with an impressive cast, including Tom Hugues, Oona Chaplin, Charlotte Le Bon, and Barry Ward.
Her dedication to her craft and her desire to continually learn and explore various acting techniques led her to relocate to Los Angeles, where she had the privilege of training with several prominent acting teachers, including Jack Waltzer, Bill Alderson, and Anthony Meindel.
As a world traveler, Godeliv is fluent in three languages: French, Spanish, and Catalan, and is conversational in both Portuguese and Lingala. Her modeling career, which began at the age of 16, has seen her work with esteemed international brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce&Gabanna, Pronovias, United Colors of Benetton, and Desigual.
Before pursuing her passion for acting, Godeliv was a former volleyball national team player and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business into Tourism from the Open University of Catalonia. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, rollerskating, contemporary dance, capoeira, snowboarding, and almost any other kind of sports.
