Person biography:
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and raised in Silicon Valley, Grace Su is a multi-talented individual who has worked in various fields, including film, television, and music. She is a native of the United States and has spent most of her life in California.
Su initially pursued a career in computer science, following in her father's footsteps. However, she later changed her career path and studied film and digital media at the University of California, Santa Cruz. During her time at UCSC, she worked on many student films, acted in her classmates' projects, and even dabbled in theater as a stagehand for the university's Rainbow Theater and African American Theater Arts Troupe.
After graduating, Su moved to Los Angeles and became involved with the Asian American arts community. She worked as a blogger, a production assistant, and a location manager, and even coined and curated the Cinema Musica program for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival for six years. She also worked as a TV commercial editor and later uprooted her life in LA to deepen her craft as an actor at Terry Knickerbocker Studio in New York.
On television, Su has appeared in several shows, including Frasier, Billions, Kidding, Superior Donuts, Speechless, and American Horror Story. She has also starred in several independent films, including Staycation and Hide Behind.
