After completing his studies in journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, Harvey relocated to Los Angeles, initially couch surfing and taking on part-time jobs to make ends meet, before securing his first acting role on the ABC Family series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, starring the talented Shailene Woodley. Notably, he portrayed the character of Grant Volberg, a pizza delivery boy, in his debut on the show.
