Gregory Robbins, a multifaceted American professional, has made a remarkable impact in the entertainment industry as a stunt performer, actor, writer, and director. Born in Glendale, California, Robbins grew up in North Hollywood, where he developed a passion for acting at a young age. His grandfather's gift of an 8mm camera sparked his interest in storytelling, and he began making home movies with his brothers.
Robbins' early life was marked by a car accident that left him in a body cast for several weeks, causing his doctors to predict that he would never be able to run or possibly have a limp. However, he defied these expectations and became a talented athlete. His grandmother's words of encouragement, "this boy will do great things with his life," resonated deeply with him.
Tragedy struck when Robbins' uncle was killed in Vietnam, prompting him to write his first story, "John Henry," at the age of 11. This marked the beginning of his storytelling career, which would eventually lead him to write his favorite story, "John Henry," which remains unproduced.
Robbins' personal life was marked by his parents' divorce and his mother's subsequent remarriage to a kind and supportive stepfather. He moved to Granada Hills, California, at the age of 13 and remained there until his late 20s. During this time, he attended the LA Actors Theater, stunt school, and Van-Mar Acting Academy, holding various stunts, modeling, and acting jobs.
The SAG and WGA strikes in the mid-'80s led Robbins to consider a new career path, and his grandfather encouraged him to attend "dealer college" in Las Vegas. However, he continued to pursue his passion for acting and eventually gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1990. This spiritual awakening led him to meet his wife and start a family.
In 1996, Robbins had an epiphany while sitting in church, which inspired him to develop a sitcom. Although he was unsure if Hollywood would accept it, he eventually produced three seasons of the show. Throughout his career, Robbins has remained committed to telling stories that uplift and inspire society.
As a martial artist, Robbins holds 2nd-degree black belts in ITF and World Tae Kwon-Do, and is proficient in bare-knuckle fighting and military hand-to-hand combat. He trains with his family, including his wife and children, who are also trained firefighters and firearm safety experts.
In 2017, Robbins, along with his daughter Shauna and son Gregory, founded the Robbins Stunt Team, providing stunt performers in western New York. Today, he lives a fulfilling life with his wife, children, and grandchildren, continuing to create stories that entertain and inspire.
