Guilherme Fiúza Zenha was a multifaceted creative professional born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the year 1968. His journey in the film industry began in 1993, when he entered the production arena, laying the foundation for a successful career that would span over three decades.
In the early 2000s, Guilherme worked alongside renowned director Helvécio Ratton as an assistant director on the film Uma von ar (2002). This experience further honed his skills and prepared him for his next move.
In 2003, he returned to his roots in executive production, collaborating on the feature films After That Baile (2005) and Baptism of Blood (2006),both directed by Helvécio Ratton.
Guilherme's passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with the next generation led him to take on a role at ECITV (École d’ internet et de télévision) and Centro Universitário UNA, in Belo Horizonte, where he taught on the Cinema and Audiovisual course.
In 2006, alongside Cris Azzi and Cristiano Abud, Guilherme co-founded the production company Abuzza Filmes, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Guilherme's directorial debut in feature films came with The Boy in the Mirror (2014),which earned an Honorable Mention from the official jury at Cine PE 2014.
In addition to his live-action work, Guilherme also ventured into animation, directing the film Chef Jack: The Adventurous Cook, released in 2023.
Tragically, Guilherme Fiúza Zenha's life was cut short in 2024, when he succumbed to a heart attack. His legacy lives on through his body of work, inspiring future generations of filmmakers and creatives.
