Guy J. Louthan is a seasoned feature film and television producer with over three decades of extensive US and international experience. For the past quarter century, he has been instrumental in developing and producing features and television shows with a specialization in international co-production.
Throughout his illustrious career, Guy has honed his expertise in packaging talent, as well as applying and implementing US and international tax incentives, subsidies, and financial credit structures, working closely with major talent agencies.
As an on-set producer, Guy has successfully planned, packaged, and produced more than sixty feature films and thirty television or cable productions across over forty countries for a diverse range of major international production companies, including Columbia Studios, DreamWorks, NBC Universal, Sony, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Studios, Fox Searchlight, Miramax, Dimension, New Line, Focus Features, HBO Films, Killer Films, ABC, NBC, CBS, Pearson Television, All American Television, Spike TV, and Netflix, among many others.
In his executive role, Guy has led international production at several established film and television companies, holding positions such as Vice President in Charge of Production at ITC Entertainment Group, Inc., V.P. Physical Production at Gerber/ITC Inc., in-house producer for I.R.S. Media, and head of physical production for Columbia Studio's Discovery Program.
With his profound understanding of visual effects, Guy has also overseen post-production, visual effects, and tech services divisions.
Guy is an active member of the American Film Institute, having sat on the AFI's Third Decade Council's advisory committee as a member of the fundraising subcommittee. He is a member in good standing of the Directors Guild of America, the Producers Guild of America, and the Recording Academy.
As an educator, Guy shares his expertise by teaching and lecturing on international film production to graduate and undergraduate students at various universities and film schools in the US and Europe, taking breaks from his productions.
Originally from Scotland, Guy holds dual UK and US passports and divides his time between Europe and the US. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
