Hallvard Holmen is a Norwegian actor who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry since graduating from The Oslo National Academy of Dramatic Arts.
With a strong foundation in classical theatre, Hallvard has had the opportunity to work with prestigious institutions such as Rogaland Teater, The National Theater, and The Norwegian Theatre. His extensive experience has led him to play a wide range of roles, including Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet in Hamlet.
In 2011, Hallvard collaborated with Jo Strømgren Kompani, a renowned Norwegian dance theater company, and won the prestigious Cuban Critic Award for Best Show for their performance, The Society. This production also received the coveted "Best of the Best" award at the Perth Festival in Australia.
Beyond his stage work, Hallvard has also made a name for himself in film and television, starring in several productions in Norway, Sweden, and England. He has been nominated twice for Best Actor in the Norwegian Television Award, Gullruten, in 2011 and 2012, and was nominated for Best Supporting Role at the Amanda Award, Norway's main film award, in 2015 for his work in the film Women in Oversized Men's Shirt. The same film was also nominated for Best Nordic Film in 2015.
In 2017, Hallvard played the role of Rolf Inherrad in the highly acclaimed Netflix series Nobel, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
