He completed his high school education at the prestigious Torben Brex Boarding School in 1949, marking the beginning of his academic journey.
Following his secondary education, Dr. Laale embarked on a trade career, joining the Skoleskibet "Denmark" as a sailor in 1951. For a year, he explored the vast and diverse continent of Africa, broadening his horizons and gaining invaluable life experiences.

Upon the attainment of his academic credentials, he commenced his teaching career as a professor at the University of Manitoba, coincidentally commencing his tenure in the same year as his graduation.

The first of these, "Once They Were Brave", was published in an unspecified year, followed by "The Men of Miletus" in 2007, a meticulous and well-researched tome that shed light on the lives and exploits of the men of Miletus. The second book, "Ephesus (Ephesos): An Abbreviated History from Androclus to Constantine XI", published in 2011, offered a concise yet comprehensive history of the ancient city of Ephesus, from its founding by Androclus to its eventual fall under the rule of Constantine XI.
