Hardy Krüger Jr. was born on May 9, 1968, in Lugano, Switzerland, to a family of artists. His father, Hardy Krüger, was a renowned German actor, and his mother, Francesca Marazzi, was an Italian painter. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Tanzania, where his father had a farm that had been the setting for the film Hatari!.
Krüger Jr. spent his early years in Tanzania, where he attended an international school. In 1989, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for acting and took classes at a renowned acting school. He soon landed small roles in several US television shows.
After graduating in 1991, Krüger Jr. began his professional acting career in Germany, landing a role in the popular ARD series Nicht von schlechten Eltern and later securing the lead role in the television series Gegen den Wind.
Throughout his career, Krüger Jr. has appeared in numerous international productions, including the French films Du gehörst mir! and Asterix and Obelix vs Caesar, as well as the film Dracula. He also starred in the 2004 film Stauffenberg, which won the Deutscher Fernsehpreis for Best Film.
In 2006, Krüger Jr. replaced Christian Wolff as the lead actor in the popular ZDF television series Forsthaus Falkenau, playing the role of forester Stefan Leitner. He has since become a household name in Germany and has continued to appear in a wide range of film and television productions.
In addition to his acting career, Krüger Jr. is a dedicated philanthropist. He has worked as a UNICEF ambassador against child prostitution and has been recognized for his efforts with the "Kind-Award 2006". He has also become a patron of the charity TukTuk-Tour, which aims to raise awareness about child prostitution in Asia, and has accompanied Bundesminister Sigmar Gabriel on the creation of the Naturallianz by the CBD-COP9.
