Harry Borland resides in Melbourne, where he enthusiastically pursues his dual passions of acting and writing. His initial foray into the world of public performance took place in 2007, when he was part of the ensemble cast for the Melbourne Fringe Festival's theatrical event, "Death by Chocolate". This murder mystery, which involved audience participation, ultimately won the coveted Fringe Festival Award for "Best Special Event". Notably, Harry took on the role of a youthful murderer in this production.
In addition to his work on "Death by Chocolate", Harry has also had the distinction of playing the titular role in the award-winning short film "My Girlfriend Jim". Furthermore, he was an integral part of the ensemble cast in the successful film "At the Formal". His impressive resume also includes lead and supporting roles in a number of other short films, including "Emo: The Musical", "At the Formal", "Poppy Projectionist", and "Junior".
Harry's television experience encompasses work as an extra on several popular Australian series between 2008 and 2009, as well as a speaking role in the ABC series "Australia on Trial" in 2011. Notably, he has also lent his talents to a number of training videos for mental health professionals.
Harry's role in "The Playbook" marks his first feature film role, and since completing filming, he has also finished shooting a role in the upcoming Australian Feature Film 'The Turning', which is based on Tim Winton's short stories and is slated for release in 2013.
