Biography

Harvey Crossland is a multi-talented individual, boasting a impressive resume as a director, writer, and executive producer. He has had the privilege of working on a wide range of projects, including the popular television series "Hudson & Rex" (2020-2023),"Murdoch Mysteries" (2009-2021),and "Ruby And The Well" (2022-2023).

Throughout his career, Harvey has demonstrated his versatility by tackling projects that span various genres. He has delved into the dark and gritty with "THE LISTENER", while also exploring the romantic side of Christmas with Hallmark movies. His work has also taken him into the world of period dramas with "MURDOCH MYSTERIES", as well as contemporary adventure with "HUDSON & REX". Additionally, he has had the opportunity to work on the award-winning Nat Geo martial arts series "DEADLY ARTS" and the epic historical scope of "FOR KING AND EMPIRE".

In addition to his impressive career, Harvey holds dual Canadian and Irish citizenship, allowing him to travel and work with both a Canadian and an EU passport. He began his career in Vancouver, Canada, where he co-founded two production companies - Hy Perspectives Media Group and Siren Films. One of his most notable productions was the feature docudrama "CLOSE TO HOME", which tackled the sensitive topic of sexual abuse, runaways, and juvenile prostitution. Another notable production was the documentary "SOMEWHERE BETWEEN", which helped to end legislative discrimination against Indigenous women under The Indian Act.
