Heather's illustrious career in the animation industry began in 1999, when she joined Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California as a storyboard revisionist on the popular show SpongeBob Squarepants. Her exceptional skills and dedication soon led to her promotion to storyboard artist, where she contributed to the success of various notable series, including The Fairly Oddparents, T.U.F.F. Puppy, and My Life As a Teenage Robot. Her outstanding work on the latter earned her an Emmy Nomination as a writer in 2006.
From 2005 to 2007, Heather took on the role of director for the Disney animated series "The Replacements," created by the renowned Dan Santat. This experience further solidified her position as a talented and versatile animation professional.
In addition to her work in television, Heather has also made a significant impact in the world of children's literature. With over 30 books published through esteemed publishing houses such as Random House Children's Division, Walter Foster, Publications International, and Simon & Schuster's Simon Spotlight, she has brought beloved characters from Disney and Nickelodeon to life on the page. Her impressive bibliography features a diverse range of titles, including stories featuring iconic characters from SpongeBob Squarepants, Doc McStuffins, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Elena of Avalor, Star Wars, and many more.
Since 2020, Heather has continued to make her mark on the animation industry, serving as a storyboard artist on Nickelodeon's exciting new shows "The Patrick Star Show" and "Kamp Koral."
