Héctor M. Valdez, a talented filmmaker hailing from the Dominican Republic, has been dedicated to his craft since 2009. His early beginnings saw him directing and producing his first short film, "El Fallo", a testament to his creative vision.

Upon completing his studies at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Valdez returned to his native Dominican Republic in 2012, where he began working on his first feature-length film, "Al Sur de la Inocencia". This cinematic endeavour garnered significant attention, with screenings at prestigious festivals such as the International Film Festival Rotterdam-Curaçao and the AFI Latin American Film Festival.

In 2014, Valdez co-founded Bou Group, a film production company based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, marking a significant milestone in his career. His expertise extended beyond directing, as he executive produced the 2016 film "Todos los hombres son iguales", directed by renowned Spanish filmmaker Manuel Gómez Pereira.

Valdez's most recent project as a director is "Mr. Emmett & Los Melocotones Enlatados", with a planned release in 2017. This latest endeavour showcases his continued dedication to the art of filmmaking, further solidifying his reputation as a prominent figure in the industry.
