Hélène Perdrière was born on April 17, 1912, in Asnières-sur-Seine, France. She went on to pursue a successful career in the world of theatre and film, earning a first prize for comedy at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art in 1928.

Following her achievement, she became the first resident of Comédie-French, a prestigious institution in the French theatre scene. However, she resigned from this position to become the partner of renowned actor Pierre Fresnay, performing in the boulevard theaters of the time.

After a few years, Perdrière returned to the Comédie-French circuit in April 1952, remaining until its eventual closure in December 1973. She then joined the Renaud-Barrault Company, where she continued to hone her craft until her retirement a year later.

During her time at the Comédie-French, Perdrière had the opportunity to stage several plays by the renowned French playwright Marivaux. Her impressive range as an actress also extended to election interpreting, showcasing her versatility as a performer.
