Hilary Rose is a talented Irish actor and writer, renowned for her multifaceted portrayal of Mairead in the acclaimed BBC TV series, The Young Offenders. Notably, she has been twice nominated for prestigious IFTA awards, in 2018 for Best Actress and in 2017 for Best Supporting Actress.
Hilary's impressive resume boasts a range of notable roles, including appearances in RTE's comedy The Fear, Republic of Telly, and the highly successful historical drama Vikings. Furthermore, she has honed her skills as a voice-over artist, regularly lending her voice to BBC Northern Ireland radio dramas and campaigns for multinational clients across radio and television.
Born in Galway but raised in Cork, Hilary currently resides in Ireland with her husband, the award-winning writer/director Peter Foott. Together, they continue to develop film and television projects for global broadcasters.
Classically trained in the art of acting, Hilary has pursued her craft at esteemed institutions such as The Gaiety School of Acting, RADA, and the Irish Film Academy. In addition, she holds a first-class honours Master's degree in screenwriting from IADT.
