Biography

Adhi Ramachandran Venkatapathy, a renowned individual, came into this world on the 20th of February, 1990, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. Despite being born into a middle-class family, Adhi's early life was devoid of any significant exposure to the world of music or cinema.

Adhi's earliest exposure to the genre of rap music was through the iconic track "Jam" by the renowned artist Michael Jackson. As he transitioned into the 10th grade, his fascination with hip hop music began to blossom and grow. He would subsequently upload his own renditions of rap songs to the internet, garnering overwhelmingly positive feedback from individuals who were eager to hear more of his musical creations. This encouraging response instilled in him the confidence to start rapping in Tamil, a language he felt more at ease with, allowing him to tap into his creative potential and showcase his skills in a more authentic and meaningful way.

Adhi, the ingenious and ambitious individual, took the bold step of establishing his YouTube channel, cleverly concealing his true identity by utilizing an image of the illustrious Tamil poet Subramania Bharati, thereby successfully evading detection by his parents.

In a move that would test the mettle of even the most open-minded of individuals, Adhi's father, despite being unaware of his son's clandestine endeavors, remained steadfast in his opposition to Adhi's pursuit of a music career, a decision that was made all the more intriguing by the fact that Adhi had not received any formal education in music.

Adhi's educational journey began at Chavara Vidya Bhavan, where he laid the foundation for his future academic endeavors. His subsequent pursuit of electrical engineering at the reputable Bannari Amman Institute of Technology further honed his skills and knowledge in the field. Notably, he achieved a remarkable state-level rank in the prestigious Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, a testament to his academic prowess. Additionally, Adhi went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree from the esteemed Madras University, demonstrating his versatility and aptitude for various disciplines. As of October 2014, he was actively engaged in pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Bharathiar University, a significant milestone in his academic trajectory.

Adhi's initial encounter with Jeeva, who would later adopt the stage name "DJ Jeeva Beatz", took place in the online community Orkut back in the year 2005.

This serendipitous meeting would ultimately pave the way for Adhi's foray into the world of music, as he went on to release his maiden Tamil hip hop mixtape, "Viswaroobam Arambam", in the year 2006.

In the same calendar year, Adhi had the opportunity to cross paths with Yogi B, a talented member of the renowned Malaysian hip hop collective Poetic Ammo, who would go on to serve as his trusted advisor.

The musical duo, comprising Adhi and Jeeva, embarked on a creative journey that would yield a notable outcome. One of their most notable compositions, the single "Ezhuvoam Vaa", would go on to achieve a prestigious milestone, as it was selected as the official anthem for the 2011 state elections in Tamil Nadu. Despite the song's relative lack of commercial success, Adhi and Jeeva remained proud of their work, regarding it as their "best effort to date".

Jeeva, the lesser-known half of the renowned musical duo Hiphop Tamizha, is a reserved individual who tends to keep a low profile, rarely making public appearances that would allow fans to catch a glimpse of his personality. This enigmatic nature is often attributed to his shyness, a trait that has led Adhi, his counterpart in the duo, to draw an apt comparison.

Bharadwaj Balaji, a talented beatboxer, also known by his stage names BBB or Triple B, has collaborated with the renowned music group Hiphop Tamizha. This collaboration has been a significant milestone in the group's journey, as it has allowed them to tap into the unique skills and creativity of Bharadwaj Balaji.

In addition to Bharadwaj Balaji, another notable collaborator of Hiphop Tamizha is B-boy Bravo. This talented B-boy has brought his exceptional breakdancing skills to the group's performances, further enhancing their reputation as a dynamic and energetic music collective.

The official logo of Hiphop Tamizha is a striking representation of the group's commitment to their craft. At the center of the logo is a vibrant graffiti of Bharati, a symbol of the group's dedication to their art and their community. This logo serves as a testament to the group's passion and creativity, and it is a reflection of the unique blend of music, dance, and art that they bring to their performances.
