Noted animation director and renowned figure in the Japanese anime industry, Hiroyuki Imaishi has made a lasting impact through his work on a multitude of projects.
He is perhaps most famously associated with the critically acclaimed series Gurren Lagann, which premiered in 2007 and has since become a cult classic.
More recently, Imaishi lent his talents to the development of the visually stunning and action-packed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a 2022 anime series that has garnered widespread acclaim.
In addition to his work on these projects, Imaishi has also made significant contributions to the Evangelion franchise, specifically with the 2009 film Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
