Native to Lakewood, Ohio, Holly embarked on an acting journey in Chicago, becoming a distinguished member of the renowned Remains Theatre Company. She took center stage in the American premieres of "Road", "Our Country's Good", and "Lloyd's Prayer", collaborating with esteemed director Robert Falls, a Tony award winner.
Her extensive career in TV and film, spanning over three decades, has seen her work in Hollywood, playing a diverse range of roles. As a younger actress, she frequently portrayed best friends of notable stars, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Ellen DeGeneres, and Rene Russo. She later transitioned to playing quirky aunts, such as Aunt Judy in "Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century", and TV moms, like the mother to Ashlee Simpson on "7th Heaven".
Holly's repertoire also includes a range of characters experiencing trauma and sadness, including those on "CSI" and "The Practice". Recently, she ventured into the realm of creation, writing, producing, and starring in "Speaking of Beauty", a project that involved interviewing women of all ages and racial backgrounds about their perceptions of beauty.
