Horst Buder, a former German actor, was active primarily in productions of the DEFA and DFF. His first film appearance was in 1957 in the DEFA children's film "Sheriff Teddy," where he portrayed the 2nd half-strong Alex. This was followed by his roles in the 1957 film "A Girl of 16 ½" and the 1959 short film "An Unusual Day," in which he appeared as a window cleaner.
In the early 1960s, he played the role of the kitchen boy in the fairy tale film "Snow White." In 1965, he was again cast in a fairy tale film, "King Drosselbart," directed by Walter Beck. In this film, he portrayed Junker Balduin, who wooed the haughty Princess Roswitha, played by Karin Ugowski, but was only mocked by her. Manfred Krug played the role of King Drosselbart.
Horst Buder was also listed to play the role of a lieutenant in the comedy film "Without Passport in Foreign Beds." After his lead role as Iwanuschka in the 1967 film "The Enchanted Brothers," he did not appear in another film until 1986, when he played the role of Hubert in a supporting role in "The Bear-Handler." This role is considered his last.
