Howard Rubie's storied career in cinematography began in the 1950s, marking the onset of his remarkable journey as a gopher at the prestigious Kingcroft Studios in Sydney, Australia.
In 1953, he made the transition to Cinesound, where he served as a camera assistant, further honing his skills before relocating to Ajax Studios to assume the role of cameraman.
Eventually, he rose through the ranks to become a director, overseeing the production of numerous television commercials and documentaries, as well as directing episodes of various television series, including the highly acclaimed programs Boney, Search for Treasure Island, and many more.
