Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios "Imee" Romualdez Marcos is a Filipino politician, actress, and public figure who has been serving as a Senator since 2019. Born into a prominent political family, she is the daughter of the late Ferdinand Marcos, the 10th President of the Philippines, and Imelda Marcos, the former First Lady of the Philippines. As the older sister of current President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., Imee's family ties to Philippine politics are undeniable.
Prior to her senatorial career, Imee held various political positions. She served as the Governor of Ilocos Norte from 2010 to 2019, a role she took on after previously serving as the Representative of Ilocos Norte's 2nd congressional district from 1998 to 2007.
