Ines Sastre, a Spanish actress and model, embarked on her illustrious career at the tender age of 12, when she was handpicked to appear in a fast-food commercial. This early exposure led to her being noticed by renowned producer Carlos Saura, who subsequently cast her in the 1987 film "El Dorado" alongside Lambert Wilson. The film's official selection at the 1988 Cannes Film Festival marked the beginning of her international acting career.
In addition to her acting pursuits, Ines achieved widespread recognition as a top model, succeeding Isabella Rossellini as the face of Lancome's iconic Tresor fragrance. Furthermore, she pursued her academic interests by completing studies in French modern literature at the prestigious La Sorbonne University.
Ines returned to the big screen in Italy, working with two of the country's most esteemed directors. She collaborated with Michelangelo Antonioni on "Beyond the Clouds" (1996),a film that also featured John Malkovitch, Sophie Marceau, and Fanny Ardant. Additionally, she worked with Pupi Avati on "The Best Man" (1998).
Ines made a notable comeback to French cinema, starring as Epona, the wife of Vercingetorix, in "Druids" (2001) directed by Jacques Dorfmann, alongside Max von Sidow and Christophe Lambert. That same year, she shone as a manipulative courtesan in "Vidocq" (2001) by Pitof, reuniting with Gerard Depardieu, with whom she had previously starred in the TV mini-series "The Count of Monte-Cristo" (1998) directed by Josee Dayan.
