Ingrid Bolsø Berdal's journey in the world of music and performance began in high school, where she first discovered her passion for singing and music. After completing her secondary education, she furthered her musical education at the University of Trondheim, studying jazz singing and improvisation for two years.
Following her time in Trondheim, Ingrid relocated to Oslo and was accepted into the prestigious Oslo National Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she spent three years honing her craft in acting. During her time at drama school, she had the opportunity to take on various roles, including Sofia in Chekhov's "Platonov" and Antigone in Sophocles' "Antigone" in her second year.
In her final year at drama school, Ingrid played The Girl in Jon Fosse's "The Name" and Hedda in Henrik Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler", demonstrating her versatility as an actress.
After graduating from drama school, Ingrid was employed by The Norwegian Theatre in Oslo, where she quickly made a name for herself. In her first year at the theatre, she was awarded the Hedda Award for Best Debut of the Year, a testament to her talent and dedication.
Throughout her career at The Norwegian Theatre, Ingrid has had the opportunity to perform in a wide range of productions, including classical and contemporary plays. Some of her notable roles include Sasha in Chekhov's "Ivanov", Shura in Sigarev's "Black Milk", and Yvonne in Gombrowicz's "Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy".
In addition to her work on stage, Ingrid has also been involved in radio theatre, TV, and film. One of her most notable film roles was that of Jannicke in the feature film Cold Prey, for which she won the Amanda Award for Best Actress in 2006.
