Ione is the daughter of an English mother and a Bahamian father, and she was raised in the diverse and vibrant community of Southall, West London.
She received her formal training in the performing arts at two prestigious institutions in the UK - The Brit School of Performing Arts and Rose Bruford College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Acting.
After completing her studies, Ione embarked on a successful touring career, performing in a theatre production that visited over 20 cities across the United Kingdom. She then transitioned to the screen, starring in the feature film "The Adored" and appearing in commercials for renowned brands such as McDonald's, Blackberry, and Deloitte.
Her breakthrough role came when she moved to Los Angeles and began working with Google's Niantic Labs, the creators of the hit game "Pokémon Go." She hosted over 125 episodes of "The Ingress Report," a weekly show that aired to the game's 20 million players. This led to a starring role in the cult classic "Zoombies," which premiered on the Syfy channel, and a co-starring role in an episode of "CSI: Cyber" alongside the talented Patricia Arquette.
As her acting career continued to flourish, Ione began to focus on voiceover work, narrating dozens of audiobooks for top publishing houses such as Audible Studios, Simon & Schuster Audio, and Harper Audio. Her narration of "Dark Eden" by Random House Audio earned her a nomination for an Audie Award.
In addition to her voiceover work, Ione has lent her voice to numerous commercial and in-house projects for brands like Apple, Marriott, BMW, and Dyson. She has also dubbed foreign language TV shows into English and recorded voiceovers for hundreds of films, apps, animations, and video games.
Alongside her acting and voiceover career, Ione is the founder of "Uplifting Content," a social media platform, podcast, and blog that has gained a massive following of over 1.4 million people.
In 2020, Ione published her first book, "Uplifting Stories," a collection of 19 true inspirational tales, each accompanied by an exercise designed to educate and inspire readers to take positive action towards their goals.
